why a temperament test?

The Temperament Test is an important step in acclimating to a new place. Our comprehensive introduction procedure, which includes temperament and behavior assessment, allows us to determine if your dog is able to join our group play environment

what to expect

Each guest spends time in one of our upstairs rooms. Their first hour or so will be spent just getting used to the environment by taking in all the new smells and sounds. Our ultimate goal is for your dog to associate coming to Little’s with a great experience. We will start with a small group of one or two dogs in a playgroup to begin the process. As the day progresses and when your dog is ready, they’ll move into larger groups and eventually into the main play yard (Downstairs)

There are dogs that are not fit for our group play. Your dog may be too nervous to join with the rest of the group. We do occasionally fail a dog on their Temperament Test day. More often, we will recommend training alternatives and extend the Temperament Test day to another day and plan to help your dog adjust safely and successfully into our play yards.

when

Due to high demand and in the interest of maintaining our high levels of safety and customer service, Temperament tests are scheduled by appointment only and are limited to a small number per day. This allows our staff to work one on one with your dog and give them adequate time for individual attention. Tests are offered Monday - Saturday 9 am - 3 pm. Schedule by going to the “Customer” page from the Navigation Bar and creating a login OR call 678-383-6481

cost

Our Temperament Test requires your dog to stay with us for 4 hours, and it’s FREE. However, if your dog does well, you can let your dog stay to play with their new friends for an additional charge of a half day of daycare at $23.
